Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated:
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out what is and is not allowed when you use bariskode.com, our contact channels, and any system that PT Baris Kode Solution (“Baris Kode”, “we”, “us”) hosts, manages or operates for you. It is part of our Terms of Service and of every service Agreement.
The purpose of this policy is simple: to keep our infrastructure, our clients and the wider internet safe and lawful.
1. Scope
This policy applies to:
- visitors of the Website and users of its contact form;
- anyone who contacts us by email or WhatsApp;
- clients and their users on servers, applications, accounts and other systems that we host, manage, maintain or monitor (“Managed Services”).
2. Prohibited uses
You may not use the Website, our contact channels or any Managed Service to:
- Break the law — store, publish or distribute content that is illegal under Indonesian law or the law that applies to you, including content prohibited under UU ITE, child sexual abuse material, illegal gambling, or fraud.
- Spread malware — host, send or link to viruses, ransomware, spyware, phishing pages, botnet controllers or other malicious code.
- Attack systems — scan, probe, test the vulnerability of, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or anyone else’s systems, networks or accounts. The only exception is good-faith research under our Security & Vulnerability Disclosure Policy, or security testing we have been engaged and authorized in writing to perform.
- Disrupt services — carry out denial-of-service attacks, flood a system with traffic, or deliberately degrade the performance of shared infrastructure.
- Send spam — send unsolicited bulk messages, or use our systems to harvest email addresses or phone numbers.
- Abuse the contact form — submit automated, repeated, misleading or abusive messages, or use the form to deliver spam, malware or advertising.
- Infringe rights — upload or distribute material that infringes copyright, trademarks, trade secrets or other intellectual property, or that violates someone’s privacy or personal data rights.
- Harass others — threaten, harass, defame or incite hatred or violence against any person or group.
- Mine cryptocurrency — run cryptocurrency mining or similar resource-intensive workloads on Managed Services, unless expressly agreed in writing.
- Circumvent limits — bypass usage limits, access controls, authentication, or other technical or contractual restrictions, or share credentials with unauthorized people.
- Impersonate — misrepresent your identity, or falsely claim to act on behalf of Baris Kode or another person or organization.
3. Your responsibilities
If you are a client using Managed Services, you are responsible for:
- the content and data you and your users put on those systems;
- keeping your credentials confidential and telling us promptly about suspected compromise;
- making sure your own users follow this policy;
- holding the licenses and consents required for the software and data you ask us to run.
4. Enforcement
If we reasonably believe this policy has been breached, we may, depending on the severity:
- contact you and ask you to fix the problem;
- remove or disable access to the offending content;
- block messages, IP addresses or accounts;
- temporarily suspend or permanently terminate the affected Managed Service, with prior notice where practical — immediately if needed to stop ongoing harm or a security incident;
- preserve relevant records and report unlawful activity to the competent authorities.
Suspension or termination for a breach of this policy does not entitle you to a refund, except as provided in our Payment & Refund Policy or your Agreement.
5. Reporting abuse
To report abuse involving our Website or a system we manage — such as spam, phishing, malware or an attack originating from our infrastructure — email info@bariskode.com with the subject “Abuse report”. Please include as much detail as possible: URLs, IP addresses, timestamps (with time zone), message headers or logs. We review every report and act on it as quickly as we can.
Security vulnerabilities should be reported under our Security & Vulnerability Disclosure Policy.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to respond to new threats, technology or legal requirements. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last revised. Continued use of the Website or Managed Services after a change means you accept the updated policy.
