Payment & Refund Policy
Last updated:
This Payment & Refund Policy explains how payments and refunds work for services provided by PT Baris Kode Solution (“Baris Kode”, “we”, “us”). It applies to all client engagements together with our Terms of Service.
The specific amounts, down payment, milestones, payment schedule and number of revision rounds for each project are set out in its quotation, work order (SPK) or contract (the “Agreement”). If the Agreement says something different from this policy, the Agreement prevails.
1. Quotations
Before any work starts, we send a written quotation describing the scope, deliverables, timeline and fees. A quotation is valid for the period stated on it. The engagement begins once you accept the quotation or sign the Agreement in writing.
2. Invoices and payment
- Invoices are issued in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) unless another currency is agreed in writing.
- Each invoice states its due date and the accepted payment methods.
- Prices include or exclude taxes as stated in the quotation; applicable taxes are charged in accordance with Indonesian tax law.
- Bank transfer fees and currency conversion costs charged by your bank are your responsibility, unless agreed otherwise.
2.1 Down payment
Work begins after we receive the down payment set out in the Agreement. The down payment secures your place in our schedule and covers initial planning, analysis and the allocation of our team.
2.2 Milestones and final payment
For projects billed in milestones, each milestone is invoiced as described in the Agreement, usually on delivery or acceptance of the related work. Final deliverables, source code handover and transfer of ownership take place after full payment, as described in the Terms of Service.
2.3 Late payment
If an invoice is not paid by its due date, we may pause work on the project until payment is received, and the timeline will be adjusted accordingly. Ongoing services, such as hosting or maintenance that we manage, may be suspended after prior notice if invoices remain unpaid.
3. Cancellation by the client
You may cancel a project at any time by notifying us in writing. In that case:
- you pay for the work performed up to the date of cancellation, as well as any non-refundable third-party costs already incurred on your behalf;
- the down payment is non-refundable once work has started, except where the cancellation is caused by our failure to deliver;
- any amount you paid in advance for milestones that have not been started or delivered is refunded pro rata, after deducting the work already performed;
- we deliver the work completed and paid for up to the cancellation date.
4. Cancellation by Baris Kode
If we need to cancel a project for reasons not caused by you, we will refund any amount you paid for work that has not been delivered, and hand over the work completed and paid for so far.
If we end an engagement because of a serious breach of the Agreement or our Acceptable Use Policy, or because invoices remain unpaid, section 3 applies as if you had cancelled.
5. When we fail to deliver
If we fail to deliver the agreed scope and are unable to fix the problem within the period agreed with you, you are entitled to a refund of the amounts paid for the undelivered part of the work, including the down payment where nothing has been delivered.
6. Revisions and change requests
The number of revision rounds included is stated in the Agreement. Additional revisions or changes in scope are quoted separately and are not grounds for a refund of work already delivered and accepted.
7. Maintenance, support and subscriptions
Maintenance retainers, support plans and other recurring services can be cancelled with the notice period stated in the Agreement. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and fees for the current period are not refunded.
8. Third-party costs
Costs paid to third parties on your behalf are non-refundable, because we cannot recover them once paid. These include domain registrations, hosting and cloud services, software licenses, paid APIs, SSL certificates and app store developer fees.
9. How to request a refund
- Email info@bariskode.com with the subject “Refund request”.
- Include the invoice number, the project name and the reason for the request.
- We review the request against the Agreement and this policy and reply with our decision.
Approved refunds are processed within 14 business days, to the original payment method or to a bank account in the name of the paying party.
10. App purchases
Purchases made in our own apps, such as MetaStrip, are processed by Google Play and follow the Google Play refund policy. Please request those refunds through Google Play.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes do not affect an Agreement already signed unless both parties agree in writing. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when this policy was last revised.
